Wire-O

The short answerDouble-loop wire binding with a sophisticated, professional look, in metallic and custom colours.
Did you know?
Wire-O has at least five other names: Twin Loop, Double-Loop, Double-O, Duo-Wire and plain Wire Binding.

The details

Also called Twin Loop, Double-Loop, Double-O, Duo-Wire or simply Wire Binding. Comes exposed or concealed (round or square). All else being equal, it usually costs a little less than spiral.

Concealed Wire-O is similar to Wire-O, but the wire is concealed so it is not seen on the spine. That allows text and graphics on the spine, similar to a casebound book.

Common questions

Does Wire-O work with a hardcover?

Yes. Wire-O and spiral both work with hardcovers and softcovers.

Can I use tab sheets and snap-ins with Wire-O?

Wire-O accommodates tab sheets, though spiral is particularly well suited to tabs. Snap-ins work with Wire-O and spiral because the pages snap around the loops.

Can I match the Wire-O colour to the rest of my design?

Yes. Wire-O comes in a range of metallic and custom colours, so the binding can work as a deliberate part of the cover design. It can also be matched with other metallics such as metal corners, foil stamping and edge gilding.
