The details

MCRL is committed to sourcing materials and producing products with the least environmental impact possible. Our printing processes and facilities are ISO certified, and we only print with safe, soy-based ink.

FSC-certified paper

We encourage clients to print on Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified paper stock. FSC certification means materials are harvested and manufactured in a sustainable manner from responsibly managed forests, meeting the highest environmental and social standards.

Tree-free bamboo paper

To help protect our forests, we offer bamboo paper stock. Its carbon footprint is smaller than paper made from wood pulp, and it is comparable in strength, brightness and printability to standard paper.

ESKA® board

ESKA® board is the gold standard in solid board construction, with a clear promise: to lay flat and stay flat. It is made from 100% recycled raw materials, with a low carbon footprint thanks to its production process.

Sustainability badges and the FSC logo

Choose any of these eco-friendly materials and we can add the appropriate sustainability badge(s) to your book's copyright page or back cover on request. The FSC logo can only go on a book printed on FSC-certified paper, and our team will work with you on obtaining the approved badge.
