MCRL produced this soft pink and navy custom journal for Laura Brooks, founder of Aura Moon. The content is built around manifestation techniques, affirmations and a vision board, with a generous notes section for reflection and positive quotes running throughout to keep the reader engaged between structured exercises.

It is undated, which is a deliberate commercial decision rather than a design shortcut. An undated journal has no expiry: it can be sold year-round and reprinted without a redesign, and unsold stock never becomes dead inventory in January. For a small brand carrying its own stock, that is often the difference between a product that works and one that ties up capital.

The finishing is where this one earns its place as a specification example. Three separate gold elements are coordinated - gold spiral binding, gold metal corners and a gold ribbon marker. Each is a small cost individually, and none of them changes what the journal does. What they change is how it reads on a shelf and in a photograph. Metal corners in particular do double duty: they are decorative, and they protect the cover corners from the fraying that kills the look of a well-used journal. Getting all three to match tone is the detail that separates a considered product from an assembled one.
