Natalee Linez | The MAGIC Journal

Natalee Linez founded Magic Mornings, a journaling method built on positive psychology research. MAGIC is an acronym - meditation, affirmations, gratitude, intentions and coffee - done daily to set up a productive and mindful day. She created it during the 2020 pandemic while looking for structure, worked through other people’s morning routines, and arrived at her own. When friends started using it too, she decided to turn the method into a physical journal.

The specification: a hardcover journal with rose gold and gold foil detailing, spiral bound, 6″ x 8″, 200 pages with full colour printing throughout. Interior stock is 80lb offset - around 120gsm - printed four colour on both sides. She singles out paper weight in the video, describing it as not the thickest option but not the thinnest, which is exactly the right call for a colour journal: heavy enough to stop ink showing through, light enough to keep the book from becoming a brick.

She also describes how she chose the printer, which is the more useful part for anyone at that stage. She found MCRL through reviews on Facebook, then went further and contacted another creator who had printed journals with us to ask directly about quality before committing.
